25000 pixels of iPad
3D Mural Spans Over 25 Thousand Pixels
CTNDIGITAL has created a 25,600 pixel mural treatment for the 3D anaglyph Barneys Denim Delight, an online campaign-based LOOKBOOK that is both available in PageBlend for PC and HDTV, and on the iPad. For the iPad implementation, CTN and Barneys decided to "go for it" and in a BIG way.
HOW BIG?
25 panels of 1024 images navigated by a startpage slider navigation system, with 3 streaming videos, ipad specific webkit coded HTML5 / Javascript, pushing right up to the limits of Safari mobile storage.
To our best knowledge this is the first ever successful 25,000 pixel continuous highres image treatment ever deployed in the iPad.
If this was a continuous page in physical print
- it would be over 35 feet long.
And its 3D for people equipped with the glasses – for the iPad this is a unique 3D marketing engagement tool.

Added to that 3 video streams and 3D anaglyph ( red-cyan ) highres photoart, and you have the latest on-the-edge HTML5 destination for an iPad experience of anything out there. The 3-D screen depth and near-field "coming forward out of the screen" effects in this are superb. There is a slider page selector on screen1 for selecting pages, use that and the BACK buttons as the best way to navigate.
Continuous view swiping… we let you do that, or dont prevent it, to allow for some rapid scroll uses that are usually denied in App Store downloads. We favor the side of user freedom and how you manage that is all about how much fun you want to have.
